Myanmar has diverse geographical features, favorable seasonal conditions and is naturally gifted with fertile soil and water resources. Myanmar is an agricultural country with rice as the principal crop. It used to be the world's biggest rice exporter. Myanmar people enjoy rice as their main food, have a long tradition of preparing food in their own way and the history of traditional food may be as old as the culture and arts of its people in the past.
But nowadays,most of the products do not have safety for the consumers because they contain a lot of chemicals. Moreover, people have no awareness and get used to eat the ready made food and fast food especially in our hometown, Myitkyina as most of the food are imported and has become a big problem in our community. So, we would like to do research on the chemical effects and particularly focus on food safety and chemical safety in the US .
Besides, there are many restaurants and glocery stores in our hometown . So, it is very important to give awareness to the restaurant owners and glocery about food safety. At the same time, we are aiming to appear organic restaurants and stores in order to get safety food for consumers in the town. Moreover, one of our purpose is when the farmers get their organic products, they can even run organic stores and restaurants by themselves. Therefore, we hope to investigate the process of doing organic farming and running organic restaurants.
